I am drawn to everyday things that are often overlooked, and to the details hidden within them. I find myself searching out simple patterns, colors, and compositions. Maybe this is a way for me to make sense of life. I don't know.
But I do know that there is beauty all around us, in the simplest things -- a curve, a shadow... We're usually too busy to see these things. We hurry on our way, whether it's to some exotic place, or to the next thing on our to-do list.
I like photography because it helps me to slow down and take a look at things, to not only notice details, but to appreciate them.
